How can a god, that apparently loves everyone, allow this kind of thing to happen?

And your point softens the egregious immorality of a god that could help with no effort, not helping... how? Thinking

Oh good. I'm glad you got my point!!!

You're still avoiding the question....

I'm guessing for the simple reason that there is no way you can answer that question in a way that will make your god look good.

We often see Christians thanking god for helping them find their missing keys or a parking spot etc,etc.....
Who do you hang out with? I'm a Christian and I rarely if ever see that.

Surely it wouldn't be that hard?

A nudge here, a whisper there.

Afterall you claim that god speaks to you all the time, telling you something that would be useful for a change would be fucking nice.
I don't recall claiming that god speaks to me all the time. Thinking

Are you every christian that exists? If not, why even bother responding to this, if it doesn't apply to you specifically?

Read between the lines. I'm suggesting that the argument is largely a straw man. I'm sure that out of two billion people you can find some that fit the argument, but it hasn't been shown to be typical.

Why is it so hard for Christians to answer this question?

It's quite simple....

Why won't god help find missing children?

Instead you go off on all sorts of tangents.

Hasn't been shown to be typical? So far, all you've done is state that it doesn't happen to you. A sample size of one isn't an indicator.

Fact is, there are a number of christians, even ones here, who claim to commune with god, or to receive, in one way or another, answers to prayers, and general guidance. They've clearly got some magic communications channel that we benighted atheists don't.

Is it the child's fault? Is god unwilling to help an innocent child because of the negligence of her parents?

The answer is quite simple, too...because God doesn't tell us everything.

It's quite applicable to expose a straw man.

If I knew a Christian who claimed that God gave precise answers to all his questions, I'd also ask his to ask God about missing children. But I don't know any Christians making that claim.

Nice try to shift the burden of proof.

Addresses of missing children isn't "general guidance." You're admitting the straw man. If there are Christians here who claim God audibly tells them where their car keys are, I'll join you in asking them why they get answers on trivial questions, but don't get or don't ask about things such as missing children.

I don't know about helping to find keys but I see a lot of professional footballers do the cross sign thing before a game. Are they not asking god to help their team win? And if they do win, do they attribute this to god?
