Yahweh, and all the other deities of history, are a lot like us because we made them up. He did not pay any price for us, even if he existed. He made a publicity stunt, sending himself to sacrifice himself to himself. Free thinking individuals should not be made to worship someone just because they made that person. Otherwise we wouldn't have child protection services. We wouldn't feel the need to take children from their parents, who made them. All he's offering is eternal servitude. Not happiness. Then he makes the other option a place of eternal torture.

God isn't a one-dimentional being. The bible shows his many aspects and everything he does is just. He's a lot like us because we were created in his image. He loves, but he can get angry. He's also just and if he says he's going to do something, he does it. Poor misunderstood Satan knew what would would happen if Adam ate from the tree and he purposely tempted him to do it. Yes, God commanded us to worship him. He's the creator and we're the creation. We like to think we're good, wonderful people when we're not. We've made the world into a dump. Anybody think the world is a great and happy place? I'm happy, but not because I love the world, but because I have hope in God. Pride is one of the hardest things for humans to overcome, but Christians live our lives in subjegation to God's will. Like I said before, he showed his great love for us by paying the price for us. Eternal life is ours for the taking. Not just for a few, but for everyone who ever lived. If he forced us to be with him, he wouldn't be loving. Why should he take you into heaven kicking and screaming when you don't want to go? That sounds like love to me when he's offering us all eternal happiness, yet we still must pay the consequences of our sins here on earth. That's justice.

Satan was just framed. It seemed like Yahweh put up a good campaign against his public image. Let's look at the track record.

God killed millions if not billions after they turned against him (despite knowing full well that they'd turn against him because he's all-knowing).

God played cruel jokes on people to get them to kill their own children in order to assert his own dominance over humanity.

God essentially created all evil and alignments.

God's test of life is unequal for each participate and the results are already known by God so he's just kind of letting all this play out for literally no reason.

Now, Satan.

Satan gave humanity the understanding of right and wrong.

Satan killed like what, 2 people?

Satan manages a realm for all the rejects of god.

I can see that your replies are well thought out and you asked questions that have plaqued myself and other christians all along. The truth is I couldn't answer all your questions without writing a book and I still don't know the mind of God. I wish we could sit down and have a long discussion about it because that's what it would take. You need to read the new testament to understand the old testament. The message of the bible is that because of our disobedience we are all guilty of God's wrath as demonstrated in the old testament bible, i.e. all those terrible things you brought up; and we don't have the power to make it right with God. He himself became man, in Jesus, and took on similar wrath as shown in the old testament, and in the process gave himself in payment for our sins. He made the ultimate sacrifice for us.

You have to take the bible as a whole to to understands it's parts. That's about the best I can do on a limited format such as this forum.
