there are entire lost cities in that same desert. stone buildings, permanent stone streets that where known to exist in the time of Christ. now they are completely lost in that desert with no trace.

Now add another 2500 years to the time of Christ and substitute a permanent stone city that was there for hundreds of years, for a tent city that was there less than forty years. (Because they moved around a lot in that forty years.) and then tell me some more about what evidence you are saying would be in a place known to devour a proper city.

And this makes total sense because obviously the god that rolled out the heavens just for the pleasure of those on our little planet for the one and only species he gives a damn about, obviously it is actually really only interested in one small faction of that species living in the one place he deemed special which He was concerned with.
