But how will you learn your lesson if he doesn't threaten your descendants on top of yourself. I can't imagine a judge being in office for long, putting peoeple in jail for stuff their grandparents did.

And regardless, I presume in your mind then that a guy tempting a chick to eat an apple just so she could become aware that she could think for herself was justification then for murdering the entire world?

Thoughts?

If I read the Bible objectively I have to deduce that Lucifer was just behaving as he was made. In the story, God was the one who created evil, God created Lucifer to rebel against him, God created hell knowing people would fuck-up. Also if you look at deaths in the bible, it's 2,000,000 (God) to 10 (Lucifer it's hard to call Satan the bad one. I've often posed the question to theist...How do you tell who's the good one? If Lucifer is just doing as he was planned to do, is he really bad? To your point about Lucifer just rebelling against an evil god, that's actually one of the first things I thought us when I heard the Lucifer story.

If Gawd didn't make Satan specifically to fuck with his supposedly beloved creations, is that not a better parenting standard? To not fuck with your kids who don't even have knowledge of good and evil which is inside the fruit. It's really quite asinine.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

Very little of the Christian story actually held up to scrutiny and there is serious confusion about the whole hell issue. It appears that most Christians are not aware that Satan doesn't run hell - he is a captive there so the only one left that could actually have made it, and currently running it, is God.

That is seriously weird.

I've heard people describe the biblical God as a benign dictator. I see nothing benign.

The Bible writers took their stuff from all of the other religions and blended it together into a new fairy tale. The Greeks had a version of hell in their myths. The Egyptians had a version of resurrection in their myths. And they got baptism from India. Angels came from Persia.
