my other issue with hell is the injustice of it.

You take someone who spends their life being a good person without religion, but because they did not obey John 3:16....that person will burn forever in hell, alongside the likes of murderers, rapists, etc.

Prisons are kinder. They do not give a shoplifter the same punishment/prison time as a child molester.

According to the fairy tale bad souls get thrown into the lake of fire on Judgment Day. Hell ceases to exist because it's also thrown into the lake of fire, along with Death. Hell is just a temporary holding pen, like Death and the Sea. The lake of fire is permanent. However, it says that Satan, the False Prophet, and the Beast are the only ones who will be tortured for eternity.

Just because you go to hell it doesn't mean that you won't get into the giant gaudy bejeweled golden cube called New Jerusalem. Based on its name it might help if you're Jewish. Gentiles will have a hard time. Abraham and David might be there circumcising all of the uncircumcised guys (and maybe the women as well).

Also, you said that the biblical flood actually happened and there was scientific proof for it. I will ask again: please provide a real scientist who says this, please provide the evidence. You can't just go around making wild assertions like this and expect us to forget.

Rev, it astonishes me that you and your ilk are able to read the Thomas story and not see it for what it obviously is. If you were advocating for a questionable -- and in some quarters scandalous -- cult decades after the alleged fact (as was the case with each Gospel) and had shit for evidence, do you think it's just possible that you might have fabricated a similar sentiment? "Blessed are those who have never seen yet believe" = Blessed are the unthinking and gullible. It's a con, and you're the mark.

Kim Jun doesn't always tell the truth because he is a man. Kim jun is not inherently good because he is a man. I know because the Bible tells us so. Bible tells us that man is a liar and God is Truth. God is good and man is a sinner. If you were comparing man to man then your questions apply. You can't compare God to man in character.

How do you know God doesn't lie? If you're solely using the Bible as your justification, your claim is circular ("I know the Bible is true because it's the word of God. I know God doesn't lie because the Bible says so."). You're using God to validate the Bible and the Bible to validate God.

That being said, you have literally no reason to trust him. We know God tells us not to kill, yet he does so all the time. The stock apologetics on the matter say things like "God has no moral imperative to not kill us" or "those rules are for us, not God", or "who are you to question an infinite being?". Now, God also tells us not to lie. The apologetics seem clear on this: that rule is for us, not God, he has no moral imperative not to lie to us, and who are you to question him?

You have literally no reason to trust God, according to your own apologetics.

Right Robby, if one is to claim the attribute "all powerful", the word "all" itself denotes no limits, so this god would have to have the ability to lie. If it cannot lie it is not all powerful. If it can lie you would have no way of knowing if it is telling the truth.

The argument the atheists is making isn't about any real god existing, but demonstrating that the concept is broken as an idea.

It makes much more sense to me that humans lie to themselves to create a false sense of comfort by manufacturing these books and gods.

Writer: Here's a bunch of horseshit nobody will ever be able to call us on because our powers of prophecy lack anything resembling precision, have so little hard detail as to be basically meaningless, and are so vague in what is even being described that they can be interpreted any way you wish.
