The Babble really doesn't work as a just-so story. Literalism is boring beyond belief. It is really as beneath us as it is to the better theists who rarely reply because the level of discussion is boring. Still, for most of us, this was the sort of belief held by the people who tried in vain to stamp us with their particular tribal totem.

There is that old tale that atheists are more intelligent than theists. Not necessarily IMO, it's just that theists don't have a cap limit for their stupidity.

The entire bible, from the pov of god, is a serious of failures and disappointments. Guy just can't seem to get it right. You'd think he'd be more sympathetic to our condition.....

People keep ignoring the fact that the flood story clearly states that the countries that existed before the flood continued to exist after the flood. The flood story is actually a story of warfare. It uses water as the symbol for the invading army, which was irresistible just like a real raging flood is. Assyria existed with Adam & Eve and it existed after Noah's flood. The Bible plainly says so.
You keep mentioning this....but tell me how you work noah into that?
