It's what happens when 2 or more cultures share the same land.
The old Yugoslavia is a perfect example. Had about 4 cultures living and killing each other in the one country. Then it finally got split. Palestine just wants somewhere to call home. As far as the Arabs are concerned, the artificial state of Israel is just a boil festering amongst Arab nations in the middle east.

As an extra note, Israel existed before Palestine, according to ancient Roman and Greek records.
There were jews in that area, but they were either kicked out or converted into muslims, at some point. Now the jews claim the territory as theirs. And the muslims do so too. Both are right, in a way... So it would stand to reason that they should try to coexist... but do they?

Basically a massive series of huge fuck-ups happened. Starting with the British and French arbitrarily splitting up the Levant between them - splitting various ethnic groups between 2 (or more) countries - most notably the Kurds, who are still fighting for independence from both Iraq and Turkey.
This was compounded by the creation of the modern state of Israel, who basically decided to invade absolutely everyone, which is fine since the paragons of democracy, the USA, backed them (and supplied them with high tech weapons, aircraft etc.). Since the cold war was happening at this time, Russia started sending weapons to Egypt and Syria. These wars resulted in Israel taking the Golan heights from Syria, Gaza and Sinai from Egypt (Sinai was given back - the Gaza strip was occupied territory, but were given the right of self-governance, and elected Hamas to rule them, which is a terrorist organisation according to most western countries) and the West Bank from Jordan. The fallout from these wars is what is currently in the news, which is fairly terrible, considering the last all out war was in 1973. Huge areas are littered with mines that haven't been cleared. tl;dr - Israel was allowed free reign because the US backed them, which led to massive wars when the Arabs decided they didn't like the Israelis taking all their stuff.

Basically, they're happy in every country that is not Muslim and unhappy in every country that is! AND WHO DO THEY BLAME? Not Islam. Not their leadership. Not themselves. I don't know that they are "happy" in the West. It doesn't seem as if those people can be happy. And why should they be? They have a chip on their shoulders the size of a refrigerator. It's called islam and until they dump it they will continue to be miserable. They are conditioned to it by their fucked up god.
