So... Did he inhumate them?
(Ok, sorry I know this is a serious thread... I just had to do it)
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.
Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

He would not cease the proof his revelations, his revelations would not stop, and there would be a guide in each age. Why would God communicate to one generation and then stop for the rest? You're only considering one god concept with all of this Mystic, out of a great many. It's, as you said, inconclusive. It's also not likely, let alone most likely. Have you ever thought of checking out Bahaism, btw.....I think you'd enjoy it? In any case "you think its fair to say" all of this because you have baggage. When you think "if a god" you're actually thinking "if allah/yahweh/christ" (which is odd, because you're clearly dissatisfied with that god-concept). Perhaps you should cast your net further out?

According to the Bible Enosh started religion. There's no record of him doing any miracles.

If a religion is from God, there should never cease to be a link between God and humans in a form of a leader appointed by him. That leader would be chosen by God, not by the people, and would be able to do miracles. It's only in this instance can we know for sure the following :
1) What are the commands of morality and what morality generally encompasses objectively.
2) The true interpretation of the holy texts
3) The will of God regarding a new issue or dispute
4) That the religion has not be corrupted or is not man made
Um, no, there are other ways that we could know those things. For example, God could decide to stop being invisible and nonfalsifiable. He just never seems to, and relies solely on claims of people who said they've talked to him, and on personal, subjective "experiences". Also, he allows the adherents of other gods to make equally credible (read: not credible) claims about their gods.
If there is a god out there, it should seem pretty obvious that he doesn't want people to believe in him.

1 - Religion has ALWAYS come from Humans -some humans have claimed to be gods - and some have claimed to speak for a god - but in reality -YOU cannot come up with a SINGLE example of a religion in which and actual provable god appeared and put someone in charge.
Example - claim of Moses - No one saw a god - the most they saw was a burning bush. How the burning bush made a set of tablets was NOT seen
Moses simply made up a reason why the Israelites should follow "HIM" - not a real god.
2 - Since that is so - the idea that a god has to personally appear and select the leader of that god's religion - WHILE that should be the LAW and required for a religion to be considered - will NEVER happen - because gods are imaginary creations of humans

The only true miracle workers have nothing to do with religion, they don't even seem to have a religious sense at all.
Who are they? Pigs. The miracle? They can turn vegetables into bacon, which - for my money - is a helluva lot more impressive than water into wine.
