Pope says God isn't a magician

RE: Pope says God isn't a magician
Legend has it the pope's hat contains a series of rooms and antechambers that can be used to hide thousands of priests child molesters. Of course he's a magician.

The word 'replacement' carries an implication of substitution, sure, but 'substitute' does not imply replacement. In the case of a vicar, s/he is a de facto stand-in for a god, a figurehead for the devotion of the faithful - not a replacement for a god.

And a de facto stand in is not a replacement for someone who is absent?

if god isn't magical he is jealous of people who can use real magic but since this is real life magic doesn't exist its just smoke and mirrors.

Thank you for confirming that "God" is absent and requires a substitute.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Over here, the term "pope's hat" has a specific genital meaning. Often employed in the phrase "pulling the pope's hat off".

He claims to be able to speak the declarations of God in place of God.

He and his representatives claim to turn the little wafer into God with their hocus-pocus ceremony called the Mass (called by them a Sacrifice).

When you understand why you reject their beliefs, you'll understand why we reject yours.

And thank you for defaulting to logical fallacy so as to excuse me from the rest of this conversation.

Don't listen to them, Drich. You can make him omnipotent if you want to. He's your God.
