Perhaps there is another reason for choking someone that I'm not aware of?

In my experience, cops will get away with everything they possibly can. When you consider the collusion that exists between peelers and prosecutors, that's puts quite a scope on 'possibly can'.

Does this tell us Grand juries are corrupt? This case was a slam dunk, IMO?

RE: The New York Choke Hold Case
I live in NYC (the Bronx) I have been a victim of "stop and frisk" multiple times or as it should be referred to as "unlawful search and seizure".

I once was (justifiably) stopped for public urination. Now i fully cooperated with the officer and was completely respectful BUT I'm a fairly big guy, like Gardner, and the police officer that caught me was fairly little, small enough that I could've picked him up by his neck and thrown him over a fence.

So he (justifiably) calls for back up but instead of 2 guys in 1 car showing up, over 12 officers showed up with a police van as if they were arresting a mob. After being searched twice and questioned for over an hour by over dozen a dozen members of the nypd I eventually was let go with $30 ticket. This is just one story, my story, but I could go on for hours telling all the horror stories I've heard about NYC police from my friends and neighbors.

Most people.in poor neighborhoods , because of this, teach their kids that the police are not your friends, they are the enemy

Bottom line NYC police are the most abusive and corrupt in the USA

From the video I saw on Secular Talk, that looks like straight up murder. They attacked a guy suspected of selling taxless cigs, held him down, and choked him to death.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.
