The contradictions in the bible and Jesus’s bad decisions!

Jeeze.. the whole (Is that a funny?) lopped off ear and regrowing thing... Involving a Roman soldier, no less....

And the world at large at the time seems to have forgotten about it?

Heck! Why didn't all the soldiers, right there and then, give up being soldiers and following Roman codes and become followers of some one who bloody obviously (Was that another funny?) can do wondrous things?

I am having a very hard time seeing this tale as something other than a fable/allegory/(Insert fancy literature term here).

Which version of the bible is that in?

I don't remember the ear thing in the Roman Catholic school teachings.... ?

Which is odd... given the whole Roman aspect of that particular little gem.

The ear thing is in all the bibles. I have a Catholic bible(don't know which version) and it is there. There are additional stories in the Catholic bible that aren't in the Protestant bible but the Catholic bibles have everything in them that the Protestant ones do. I don't know why you weren't taught about it in Catholic Sunday School. Maybe your teachers thought it was a weird too. LOL
