Like, why the fuck would you bring that up, especially to an elderly person in a nursing home who can barely eat their jello? Like, shut your damn mouth.
And THEN, this is what REALLY pissed me off, she started talking about her gay uncle saying, "I definitely don't agree with his lifestyle, but I love him anyway."
To avoid making a scene, I left it alone and didn't say anything.
Do you think I made the right decision? And if not, what could I have done or said?

I don't understand what was wrong with telling the resident that. Why wouldn't they bring that up? I understand that you disagree with your coworker's point of view, but that's no reason to deny that person the right to speak about it. You're exercising your right to speak your opinion here while at the same complaining about you're coworker doing the same thing.

I think what should be paramount is what the resident of the nursing home believes or is of a mind to discuss. Otherwise, you're likely to be making a captive audience uncomfortable.

I only punch ladies in the face upon request.

There's a bit of a difference, don't you agree?

They do, but not in their professional capacity if it's against protocol, or where they are getting in your face to do it when you're not engaged with them.
I would call those unprofessionalism and harrassment.

I think you made the right decision to not punch a care worker in the face for the reason of her expressing her belief in Jesus to someone.
I think it's quite abnormal to think about hitting a woman in the face because she says she believes in Jesus, you need to calm down.
let's not forget, from what you have said here there's no encouragement or preaching involved.
If I was in my workplace and I told someone I don't believe in Jesus I'd get pretty annoyed if someone told me I wasn't allowed to speak about these things. I think it should be kept to a reasonable level though.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

After hitting her, you can say, "I believe punching people in the face increases their spirit points by 50."
