How I loathe AFA! It's not that a rape induced life is worth less, it's that the woman did not consent to having it put there so has every right to not have it there anymore.

That's the minimum argument of course, I support abortion regardless of the reason. It's this ridiculous notion that any life is better than no life, even if it's going to be unwanted and living in poverty or shopped around foster homes. There's too many people in the world already, so use the new slots up with children that are wanted.

I wasn't implying a pro-life policy, I'm actually close to what's considered a hardcore pro-choice - I was just pointing out how inconsistent it is to say an abortion made by a rape victim is more acceptable than one made by a woman who simply doesn't want to have kids. It comes down to a choice and nothing else, no lady should have to even remotely say the reason why she is there to terminate her unborn foetus. All hail bodily autonomy!

If you're referring to my post, that is not my position - at all. I'm 100% in favor of a woman's choice in the matter, and the only limitations I would want to see are those that concern whether or not the fetus has consciousness and can experience pain.

Before then, as far as I'm concerned, it is a private matter between the woman and her physician.

The argument I made, rephrased is this - even if we could consider abortion evil, it is a lesser evil than forcing a pregnancy and childbirth upon a conscious human being.
