Catholics Aren't Christians?
#11
RE: Catholics Aren't Christians?
sorry dont want to offend anyone but the Catholic church like any non-pentecostal church is a business.

The true pentecostal church lives with all members as though in same family except it will be a family that actually loves you if you are into that kind of thing. they share all money and property and such equally and for the betterment of the group as a whole when properly managed anyway haha
It is good on paper but trying to make it real is ... complicated... as it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch and eventually that apple will show up^^

true religion is life as a family. meaning as it was in the old days you do not try to make a buck off your family, you trade them even, or just flat out give it to them with no worry for return.

imagine a world where we all got up today and said, "what shall we do today?" as a group.

We could build 10 homes for each person on the planet and 100 cars each.
We could farm enough food to feed 100 worlds.
We could turn the Sahara desert into a Forest.
We could do ANYTHING.

again great on paper...
what the paper needs to say is, "requires cool people to actually work".

Now where can we find those?

Christian schisming is a 2000 year old sport. And they've been accusing each other of not really being Christians for just as long. So this kind of controversy doesn't surprise me any. But looking at history, it's absurd to suggest that Catholics aren't Christian. If that's the conclusion you reach, then unless you think Orthodox Christians are Christian (I do, but I suspect those who exclude the Catholics would exclude them too), you are left with the claim that Christianity started in the first century AD, disappeared in the 300s and reappeared 1200 years later in the 1500s.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Frodo did pretty good in his "didn't want to know" post.
However, when Jesus said to Peter- you are a small stone and upon this huge rock- I will build my church, Jesus was stating He would build His church upon the statement of Peter that Jesus is the Christ.

The above correlates with the prophet Daniel seeing a huge rock coming down crushing all the kingdoms that man has built- that Rock, the same one which went with the Israelis thru the desert is coming back to fulfill Daniel's word.

Catholicism deceptively uses Christian words to cloak it's lies.
Just as the other cults do which are mentioned in this post above.

Trusting in what Jesus Himself did on our behalf BY HIMSELF and not in Masses (false sacrifice ceremonies) , attendance to rituals,"Holy days of obligation", or all the other hocus pocus, psudo stuff they fling to the "Faithful".

The call is going to come to "Come out of her- My people" to those still dwelling in that false system.
The system which has supplanted Christianity and has the blood of the saints still staining it's hands for more than a thousand years.

Pretty much true for Protestants, roughly speaking/ discounting those interpreting the belief correctly, counter to popular forced adherence.

Fuck em all. Anyone stupid enough to assert that a dead jew on a stick who came back to life to atone for their fucking sins is automatically tarred with the disreputable appellation "xtian."

Kiddy diddling priests ain't christian, and I'd rule out all their protectors and enablers and donors.

That pretty much cleans the cabinet of all of 'em.

I completely disagree.

I think catholics are Christians who adhere to many of the old Roman pagan views and rituals. Come on, processionals with dudes in gold-laced gowns waving incense? It's pretty clear that the Jesus of the New Testament didn't have this in mind.

That being said, 2000 years after the man's life, it's hard to say anyone is not really Christian who deifies Jesus in any way whatsoever.

Of course the see themselves in that kind of tradition. The pope even carries the latin title of pontifex maximus which was inherent to the Caesars of old.
