It is a meaningless word and a gap answer for human ignorance. You have become paranoid of the word because of your hate for religion, but like it or not, the word still means any amazing or wonderful occurrence.
Not saying this will happen to this specific kid, but there really is such a thing as survivors guilt, and I can attest it is not a pleasant thing to experience. Nothing but time, and plenty of it, seemed to help me.
I do not consider the opportunity to experience survivors guilt to be much more than a curse, certainly it's not a fucking miracle.
I would expect that she is too young to experience survivor's guilt.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.
-- Homer Simpson God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion. -- Superintendent Chalmers Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things. -- Ned Flanders Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral. -- The Rev Lovejoy (January 3, 2015 at 9:40 pm)IATIA Wrote: I would expect that she is too young to experience survivor's guilt. Emotional trauma does not have to be about guilt. She took the time before she got out of the plane to check on her family, the rest on the plane were dead. She doesn't have to blame herself to be emotionally scared by witnessing death. |
