I hate the word "miracle".

RE: I hate the word "miracle".
I see this as a problem of news media all too often using religious terminology over rational consideration. Perhaps we need more separation of church and news.

I was going to say that it's bound to get better as more secular youngsters grow into the editor's job and respond to some described "miracle" with "WTF?", but news is all about money and ratings and not about being thorough and correct.

It would seem, from reading the bible, that god would rather kill or have it's minions kill. I do not see it saving that one child. Now if god helped someone find a wallet ....
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.

Ah, that's where you misunderstand the message. He didn't save that one child, he killed all the others.

Makes me think of this woman:

If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Obviously. There's always one left behind to tell the tale. Mafia bosses are said to behave in a similar way.

No, please do not attempt to water down a clearly superstitious word. It is a meaningless word and a gap answer for human ignorance.

Miracle does get used out of religious context. Someone walking down the street with a bag of groceries, trips and falls, "It's a miracle you didn't break any eggs".

Edited own post for being stupid and not making sense.

But seriously. Planes made of children. The next frontier.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.
