Not always. Taking a dump leads to a creation. But it's not a designed creation.

Woody probably thinks along these lines.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Holy shit, I never even considered the idea of the ID crowd arguing with the creationists. I have so much to unlearn.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

God created everything, but he didn't create diseases/cancer etc because these aren't "things".

So we end up with both the claim that everything must have been designed due to blah blah blah, followed by "except all the bad bits which weren't designed".

I thought at first this guy was just a moron, but this argument seems to not even come from him. It is in the form "evil is not a thing" which is slightly better until you try to insert real life examples in, after which it again fails.

When you get arguments like this, you realise they are just trying to say anything to avoid having to think about it and hope it goes away.

This sort of argument goes all the way back to Augustine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absence_of_good

The privation of good (Latin: privatio boni) is a theological doctrine that evil, unlike good, is insubstantial, so that thinking of it as an entity is misleading. Instead, evil is rather the absence or lack ("privation") of good.[1][2][3] It is typically attributed to St. Augustine of Hippo

Evolution allows one to create specific things without design.

Evolution - when tampered with by humans - results in German Shepherds who can't walk, Great Danes with Cardiomyopathy, pugs and bulldogs who can't breathe, dachsunds with spinal issues and Poodles with gastro-intestinal issues to name a few.

Leave nature alone, Woodie. It doesn't need your help and there's no fucking god.

Evolution allows one to create specific things without design.

Only when the process governing it has no element of intent involved.

Evolution is a word that can be used to describe absolutely anything. Anything at all. Any object, any process, any creature. Evolution can mean clouds, it can mean anger. It can mean philosophy.

Until you learn what it actually means.

Cancers cells aren't "things"? What exactly are they, and where do they come from? What about viruses and bacteria?

Seriously, what the fuck? The only way someone could even attempt to maintain this line of through would be to assume that anything too small to see isn't caused by something physical. The germ theory of disease was something that was understood hundreds of years ago.

Why is it that the "best" apologetics rely on lines of thinking abandoned some time after the dark ages?

Does evolution allow you to create or is that simply biological change and what you see as creation is just your categorization of that change?

Regardless, evolution is so far off from creation ex nihilo that your comparison is meaningless.
