The most insane defense of faith healing ever
#21
RE: The most insane defense of faith healing ever
Well, Lek did support pretty much this exact thing in another topic, the girl with leukemia (I think it was).

He seems to have gone off for some soul searching, I wonder if he would change his opinion now?

Yes... I wonder what our other christians think of this. I'm astounded at the admission that faith healing is just nothing at all. Of course we knew this already, but it's weird to hear a christian say it. Part of her brain is working well enough to realize that, and the other part has lost its mind.

I don't want to hear it. I'm sure it'll involve the words "cancer" and "god's gift" and "mysterious ways" and I've had enough of these.

You're not alone, over here in the UK we will soon be embracing the power of astrology to heal our sick children if this guy has his way:

Apparently you're a racist if you disagree.

Racist? What the f...

For god's sake.

The day astrology is in our healthcare is the day I go to live in a hut on a mountain somewhere.

Is... is this meant to be a serious article? I mean, does The Guardian actually expect us to take this seriously? Dammit, UKIP gonna win now.

He has done some on the topic. While I'm loathe to reveal PM stuff, I can say that he is definitely rethinking things. Where he ends up with that, I don't know.

Wow! Really, I'm impressed Smile Of course I'd never press for details.

Well, wherever you are Lek, you made me smile again!

A bit of careful thought, that's all I ask from anyone.

Well, that's not to say he's come around. I don't know. I sure hope so, because the position he defended in that thread was absolutely despicable.

No, sure. But the fact that he is even thinking about things seriously is impressive. I grow tired of the instant replies from theists that show absolutely no thought whatsoever, and no awareness of the contradiction and vile morality they are spouting.

That they can defend with such certainty a position based entirely on believing stuff "just because".

Negligent murder is still murder.
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
