That's somewhat surprising because the writing has been on the wall for quite some time now. I'm sure they expected some backlash but they were obviously taken off-guard by the magnitude of it. They similarly miscalculated when they tried to interfere in the Terry Schiavo fiasco ten years ago.

I'll have a deep pan pizza with some venemous hatred, extra repressed feelings, a side of misplaced righteousness and a fuckwad milkshake.

Indiana has a few Amish communities. They are exempt from putting LED lights on their buggies. A Muslim inmate was allowed to grow a short beard in jail. Plus there are some religious practices that use controlled substances in there ceremonies.

What do those have to do with business practices?

I love that they never bought a domain name, and someone has made a website for them, and it's connected to yelp! lol

They only serve "their kind", so it doesn't matter, right? If someone brought that up, my apologies, didn't have time to wade through the entire thread. Angel

You are all looking at this the wrong way.  It is a brilliant scam to make money off of a struggling business.  Insult people based on religious bigotry, get hate messages, close your business, start up a fundraising site really fast and collect from like-minded bigots who donate to fight against the "oppression" of Christianity.  Take a look:

http://www.gofundme.com/MemoriesPizza

As I type this, they have gotten over $300,000 in donations.  Some little hole-in-the-wall pizza place in a small town would take a while to make that much money normally.

Hell, they might not even be against homosexuality at all, and just know a good scam when they see it.  Just savvy capitalists.

It's been about an hour or so, and now the total is over $100,000 more than when I posted above. They have gotten more than $400,000 in donations.

I almost wish I had thought of this scam. Honest work does not pay that well.

I've been thinking that ever since the Virgin Mary grilled-cheese sandwich fetched $30K+ on ebay.

Anybody see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Steve Martin and Micheal Cain? I suddenly have the urge to watch that movie.

This sort of fundraising is what makes me ill. I have a gofundme for my fight to get my child home. I've had it for four months now. I've managed to get $130 TOTAL. I have a legitimate need to try and raise funds for a good attorney. Yet these idiots, who spew their hate have raised in two fucking days over $300,000. Bastards. Sorry if I'm a bit pissy about it. I just don't think it's right that these bigots can get all that money while I struggle, cry and grieve every day because I don't have the money to bring justice for my daughter. It is indeed maddening.
