Now that is awesome! Thank you Smile This sounds much more like the country I live in.

Go Brits! We're the most secular theocracy in the world.

With China pushing us pretty close... Big Grin  If my calculations are correct, that means (going from the last census of 2013), there are 845 million "convinced atheists." The figure of 61% of Chinese has gone up 14% since the last survey which was conducted in 2012. An increase from 47% to 61%. Awesome!!!

It's weird how when people stop believing in God, his powers disappear. I've been around lots of areas of Birtain amongst all this non-belief and heresy. Do I see god's wrath? Do I see people turning to evil and chaos? Do I see satan taking over? Do I see anything to do with the cartoon existence the religious describe?

No. I see people generally getting on with each other and living their lives. God has taken his ball and gone home. Just like the "man made" gods, his "powers" rely entirely on people willing to point at stuff and say "God did that!". If you say that round here, people will look at you like you've lost it, not think you're amazing.

Can't vouch for the site but it tells me what I want to hear.  My little town is also about a third religious.  It even says the US is less than half religious.  Don't anyone ruin it for me.  *savors the moment*

The surveys seem to be for metropolitan areas, so Berkeley might be even less religious than stated. I queried my home and the numbers are distorted due to proximity to a metropolitan area.
