My story! I am an Ex-Muslim, became and Atheist. I was visited by an Angel of God.

Its gotta be the truth.
What version of Daniel are you using?

A quick perusal of the King James version shows that Daniel 10-5 thru 10-7 gives the following details:
  1. Clothed in linen
  2. Loins girded with gold
  3. Body like beryl
  4. Face appeared like lightning
  5. Eyes as lamps of fire
  6. Arms and feet like in color to polished brass
  7. Voice like the voice of multitudes
Daniel mentions this as a 'man' not and 'angel.'

Matched to your description:
1) clothed in white (how did you know it was linen?)
2) no mention of loin girding
3) no mention of beryl
4) face shining (chrome vs lightning)
5) eyes not seen
6) feet noticed, but color not mentioned
7) voice not mentioned
You mentioned wings like a stereotypical angel but Daniel 10-5 thru 7 did not.

Despite the near complete disconnect between your description and that in Daniel, you conclude that you were visited by an angel rather than had a (subjectively real) sleep paralysis experience.
Sheesh, you're kidding, right?
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

I've had a very realistic hallucination in my life about God as well, I was very convinced it was real, too. I was 8.
I have Sleep Paralysis, it happens to me during times of emotional stress, and I still see things during attacks on occasion. But now that I've grown, I understand they are just my mind playing very elaborite tricks on itself.

I see others have been over this with you and you are unwilling to admit what you saw might have been a product of your own brain, so there isn't really much else to say to you.

Good luck. Though I suggest you do see a doctor in case it is epilepsy or something more severe.

This is my last response to this ridiculous thread.

If you really want to do some research into the most likely explanation for your experience, there is plenty of info out there.

If you want to continue to believe your misinterpreted hypnogogoc hallucinations, carry on.

Just know, that if you hear people claim they are abducted by aliens in the night, you have zero basis to doubt their claims.

I completely aware that something as this experience is merely impossible to believe. That what i was thinking when i was living amongst religious people, i was trying so hard to believe in God, Angels, and the rest of the Biblical stories. Well...  many Muslims believe that Muhammad really was abducted by an Angel and lifted up from earth to heaven, then came back to earth... These kind of events seems illogical to grasps. I myself believe in evidence... I told this experience to a priest and he didn't take me seriously, he said:'' probably it was just a dream", or "Hallucination".  Its something natural to disbelieve in cases similar to this.

Well, Daniel spoke to him and took a good look of the Angel. That angel took the form of a man, i guess.

The spirit i saw:
1) clothed in white. (I assume it was a garment)
2) I saw a face with no features (his face was shining)
3) Human leg (color was silver, it was also bright as chrome or metallic)
4) A belt (I saw something wrapped around his waist but didn't know how to describe it)
5) I saw wings, more than 4, it was sparkling as well.
6) The spirit didn't speak to me. (I am not sure why?)

Daniel uses metaphors to describe the man, I am using simple words.

So, god appears to you, but not many other atheists? Do you think he cares about you more? Or, do you think it's possible as you were falling asleep, you woke up and saw a hallucination for a few seconds?

I don't think I'd be willing to change my entire life, off of something that was most likely a hallucination. Some people, upon awaking, can have visual and/or auditory hallucinations. I've woken up a dozen times, seeing a large spider crawling on the wall, and at first, I thought it was 100% real. I've also experienced sleep paralysis, but at the time I thought it was a dead loved one's presence, who had just died within the last few days. The room felt so 'charged' (turns out I was just scared out of my mind upon awaking suddenly in the middle of the night and paralyzed); I couldn't explain this 'presence' I felt. It wasn't a presence, I had symptoms of sleep paralysis.

Use your brain, and do some research. Don't jump to wild conclusions because this was a new, startling experience for you.

To pick up on an earlier point, why did this figure have wings? You mentioned that it was floating, is that floating like a bubble hanging in the air or like a hummingbird beating its wings rapidly? If the former, why the wings?

How big was its breastbone? If those wings are functional at all, then for a creature the size of a human the wishbone would have to stick out from its chest something like six feet. I don't recall you or Daniel mentioning something that noticeable.

And what about my encounter with the invisible dog? Managed to explain it yet? It felt as real to me as you say this felt to you.

I propose a third theory to the 'God, God dammit' and 'Your brain was a bit wonky' explanations.
The OP is outright fucking lying, in a hamfisted attempt at converting some atheists. You're welcome Tongue

I mentioned earlier in my story, that the spirit pulled my leg (that's how i woke up form sleep). No one yelled at me and said: "get the fuck up", or I had a nightmare, then felt scared and tripped over my bed... I certainly didn't have a vision in a dream, as i was conscious when i saw the spirit in front of my eyes, moving around, gliding in the air, staring at me... well, at first he was right beside me, next to my face, then he took a few steps back, let us say that encounter duration was around 5 seconds, then he vanished.

Yeah, I pull people's legs too sometimes! Tongue Very good.

Quite a few times I have had auditory hallucinations. I've woken up, and heard a very distinct voice, so loud that it must have come from in my house. I've been totally convinced that I heard the voice after I woke up, my eyes were open and my dream had ended. In my dazed state I searched for an explanation, and realised no one else was in the house.

Simplest explanation: my dream state carried over into waking. It's happened quite a few times. If I was superstitious, I would probably make a big deal out of it and think something paranormal was going on.

Somebody's getting their leg pulled, that's for sure.
