I mentioned that option in post 3.  It is good to know that there is someone else in the world who is not a barbarian.

I always have trouble in times of crisis with family members. "You're in my thoughts" is as effective as "You're in my prayers".

Anything else seems to be stating the obvious: "This situation is unfortunate" and the like.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

There often isn't anything to say other than the obvious.  It is not as if you were an omnipotent, omniscient being who could fix all of life's problems.

Oh yes, family.  As much as I love 'em I often think to myself I was born in the wrong one.  Majority of my kin, especially the older ones, are as Conservative and religious as they come.  I have often come home from family get togethers quite angry.  Here lately I am trying to stay away from them as much as possible.  My sister and I had an online tiff, and we have not spoken much since then in about a week.  Willful ignorance and snobbery really gets my goat, and unfortunately I have seen too much of it in my relatives.  It is what it is.  Sad

Depends on the context: in certain instances, it's a very polite way of saying "go fuck yourself."

Hey "Mush". Can I call you that? It's a cool nickname (twice removed admittedly).

Why "bless your heart" and not "bless your spleen"??

What does "blessed" even mean. When my christian friend mentioned that she had received a blessing and anointment (i.e. vicars oilly thumb touching her forehead) at her Sunday service, I posed her this question :
2 identical twins are churchgoers.
One goes to the Sunday service and receives the blessing, but the others' car breaks down and he only arrives just as everyone's leaving. What is the difference between the two ?
