The Catholics Get More Despicable as they get

I can't imagine sexual repression as imposed by the church as a cause of pedophilia.
I've always thought these abusive priests were more likely disturbed individuals who had these thoughts of sexually abusing children before they became priests and went into a job where sex was forbidden as a cure.
It's kinda a two part cure, first, sex isn't allowed and second, god will help them with their deviant desires.
Doesn't seem to work so well tho.

Someone who has no convictions is more biogted than someone who has because he who has none can always change his mind at any time to win an argument whereas a person with convictions has to keep some integrity because he has to defend that stable conviction, so he cannot be bigoted to the same extent

I just thought I'd pop in and say that you are not defining the word 'Bigoted' correctly in your explanation.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary Online Wrote:Main Entry: Bigot
Pronunciation: \ˈbi-gət\
Function: noun
Etymology: French, hypocrite, bigot
Date: 1660
: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

EvF is correct. Your signature quote gets it backwards.

But if you have no convictions then you can honestly look to the evidence rather than blindly sticking to your "convictions" despite all evidence to the contrary, surely?

are you defining "Bigoted" differently than:

Dictionary Wrote:bigoted |ˈbigətid|
adjective
obstinately convinced of the superiority or correctness of one's own opinions and prejudiced against those who hold different opinions
?

Jon Paul Wrote:That was the same reaction people had when I had my crisis .
But those people weren't as irresistibly cute as me Blush

What convinced you to return to.... Christianity? Sleepy

Jon Paul and G. K. Chesterton are using the most random definition of "bigoted" I've ever seen.
