Yes, but it's good enough for church.

What the fuck? This isn't evidence for "more than the material world". Are you being genuinely honest or are you just fucking around with us now?

Again, you display your less than stellar grasp of basic logic. So, when the vast majority of humanity believed that the sun orbited the earth, and that the earth was flat, was that evidence that they were correct? You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
Because they breed faster than the rest of us.

Oh, so you're not appealing to numbers, only appealing to numbers. Got it.
Answer the question, Stevell. Will you accept Islam as the one true way when muslims outnumber christians?

Using this logic the SETI program should not be probing the electromagnetic spectrum in outer space, but instead be counting the number of members of the abovetopsecret forum. It would be a lot cheaper. (June 11, 2015 at 4:33 pm)SteveII Wrote: I disagree that this is appeal to numbers. If you look back through history, "people's choices" have often been staggeringly wrong, for an awfully long time, before they are corrected. I know you're about to fart on about how, therefore, people's beliefs in evolution are probably wrong too, or some shit like that, but the point is that belief by population is in no way an indicator of truth, as the flat earth, slavery, geocentrism and so on aptly demonstrate. It's belief by evidence that counts, and on that score, your religion is still at zero.

Have you read his "oh yeah? Well I have a theory of god!" tantrum in response to being straightened out on what a scientific theory is in the "stump a christian" thread? Toddler might be about right.
