Honest wonderment. It would be very interesting, but not something I'd ever do.
I remember hearing somewhere about a "counter" to street preachers. Stand a little bit away from them, and say the same kind of thing they say, but keep referencing an umbrella or a brick you are holding out instead of the bible.
"Worship the brick or you will be punished, because the brick says so. It's not me threatening or judging you, it's the umbrella. Which is also the brick."
Wonder no more, my friend.
I got curious and googled some videos of it. This is the first one that came up.

I've never seen any Christian street preachers, so I don't know if this is the same treatment or not.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Very similar. I've seen such things in more than one major city. However, I live in the midwest, so the "Street corner" thing is a little rarer here.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I've never seen a Christian street preacher myself either, but I think this is about the same amount of attention they'd get. Most people have grown adverse to others spewing their beliefs like that in public....

Yes....again, a limit to their capacity to give a shit...they don't even know what they're giving a shit about, or how to go about doing so..... which isn't much of a shit to be able to give in the first place, eh? Personally, I don't think that I'd be able to call preaching, let alone preaching a christian faith, even remotely related to good intentions - which people are perfectly capable of having, regardless, granted. Pretty sure we're not disagreeing on that count.

Rhythm, have you ever posted a picture of yourself here? Do you look anything like this:

Lol, that's how I imagine you. That's big Tom from Survivor Africa. Your style of writing reminds me of how he talks. Whenever I read your posts, I read them in his voice and his accent.

Plenty of em up in member photos. All my feral children as well. If I'm -lucky- in a few decades...I might look that good, but I doubt it.

I googled the guy. I do have a similar accent, only difference being that I use it to speak in english.
(-those- pictures, btw, would have been great to re-live... The Imperial Mullet.)
