Should Islam be banned?

Pretty much the same methods Christians used for imposing Christianity on pagans, only without the killings. But burning all religious literature, including the bible and the quran - that will be mandatory.

Would it really be Godwinning a thread if a person actually starts to talk like a nazi?

It will take some time but eventually religion will die out.

Hitler targeted 6 million to kill. I don't wanna kill people, just attempt to heal their minds of all the bullshit. And if anyone refuses, they'll simply remain in the mental hospital forever.

It's already declining. Within a few generations it will almost certainly be in the minority if current trends continue. What the hell is this bullshit about confining them to mental institutions for the rest of their lives? You realise the vast majority of religious people are normal, unassuming, good people, don't you? Kind of like...the human race as a whole, basically. Targeting and oppressing people based on one aspect of their lives/persona takes us down an extremely dangerous path.

I was talking about the most expressing morons like pastor Anderson and likes of him - those who call to kill all disbelievers and homosexuals. I don't care what you or anyone else think - to me those are mentally disturbed and should be put into a mental institution for... "conversion", so to speak, and if they refuse to - to be left there forever.

As much as I loathe Islam (not necessarily its adherents, except the extremists, but the religion itself) I would never support banning it, or any other religion. I would like to see the extremism within its ranks, especially in Western nations, confronted by the moderate elements within the religion itself.

And those living in Western nations who insists that our laws change to accommodate them, I would suggest they move to a Muslim country where their requirements could be met.

Right...and tearing down their places of worship, burning their sacred texts...

I make no bones about my distaste for organised religion. But it is complete and utter lunacy to sincerely believe that these actions would result in anything less than the largest outbreak of violence since the Second World War.

And god - Churches are so beautiful and a sign of cultural background, burning them down to build something new is just stupid. I love tourism, and I love going to chuches - The Vatican is great, everyone loves going to the Vatican - It's quiet, peaceful, great architecture, some people go there to drink coffee in the lunch break.

Trying to introduce legislation banning Islam would only create a backlash. I'd actually guess this would cause people to want to join Islam.

Though I wish it was that simple.  I would support this if it were.
