RE: Louisiana Shooter Was Far Right Nut
Knock it off, that is the exact bullshit script makers us to pit society against each other.

This is not about rights. This is about the irresponseabe Makers selling fear to maintain and expand an already flooded market.

Absolutely.

Quote:Since 2005, the gun industry and its corporate allies have given between $20 million and $52.6 million to it through the NRA Ring of Freedom sponsor program. Donors include firearm companies like Midway USA, Springfield Armory Inc, Pierce Bullet Seal Target Systems, and Beretta USA Corporation. Other supporters from the gun industry include Cabala's, Sturm Rugar & Co, and Smith & Wesson.
The NRA also made $20.9 million — about 10 percent of its revenue — from selling advertising to industry companies marketing products in its many publications in 2010, according to the IRS Form 990.
Additionally, some companies donate portions of sales directly to the NRA. Crimson Trace, which makes laser sights, donates 10 percent of each sale to the NRA. Taurus buys an NRA membership for everyone who buys one of their guns. Sturm Rugar gives $1 to the NRA for each gun sold, which amounts to millions. The NRA's revenues are intrinsically linked to the success of the gun business.

To know where bullying and coorupton come from, follow the money. The industry has learned to do what other corporate bullies do, monopolize the political narrative by using lobbies to act as heat sheilds. Banks and oil do the same thing.

It would be much more difficult for the NRA to do so if their opponents (that's you) weren't raving loons of a different flavor.  All they have to do is point to the other batshit side of the same coin and say:

"see, told you they were nuts"

-and people forget that -they're- nuts.

Anti-gun nuts are the gun nuts 5th column, and they thank you for your service. Those manufacturers will land on their feet with pet exceptions, and choicer contracts - their products will continue to sell regardless. We're the only losers. Or did you think that you'd outsmart the lobbyists and lawyers their profits pay for, that our government would prevail over or against the interests of corporate whores? You think that your stance doesn't serve to pit society against itself..........or that those same gun manufacturers don;t profit from it? They're turning a mint right now because you, and those like you - have scared dumbasses into thinking that their guns are going to be taken away - they're stocking up, driving up demand, and thus increasing profits. If guns were contraband, that would increase their profits even further...and they would -still- be miles away from any liability.

Think it through.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
