How Do You Get Over Death?

Somewhere along the line I must have hit a cord to vex you so, I ask that you not respond with such an emotionally charged answer next time.

In an effort to get you to read that, I will reply to a single point on your earlier post that I think is worth replying to. I point heat death on the same level with the big bang and the big crunch in that I do not believe in them.
Why would you stop? Your beliefs seem so easy to defend, with all the evidence and all. The lack of believing in something has NO effect on my intelligence whatsoever. Stop projecting.

I reject your asking of me.

I really don't care about what you believe until you have a single thread of evidence to back it up. I'm just asking for ANYTHING, literally ANYTHING, at all. It is really frustrating to see you post a list of all your beliefs and not support them with anything.

RE: How Do You Get Over Death?
Regarding the OP:
One does not overcome death.

The acceptance of what is and what cannot be changed offers a sort of freedom.
Should you die while having accomplished little in your life makes no difference.  Did you enjoy it?  Did you give your life an effort?  Did you waste it?  I don't think any of those questions matter.  It's only the consideration of dying that brings those questions to mind.  To accept death is essential to disregarding death.
Even as a Deist, I have no idea what death brings.  I am unconcerned.  I accept it as an unchangeable absolute and no longer worthy of my consideration.

Whats left?  A life filled with simple pleasures.  There is no agenda.  There is no requirement.  There is no wizard with some cosmic scale.  There is only freedom.

There you go.

But if you must wish for something, then I shall leave a reply regarding to my statement earlier about the universe/cosmos being infinite and eternal. The universe/cosmos is infinite because thinking that it has an end, and that you will sail off that end once you reach it is silly, or you might be one who thinks there might be an invisible barrier stopping people from going any further, again silly. The universe is eternal because nothing that is infinite could possibly have a beginning, or an end, hence why it is infinite.

I have thus introduced you to the realm of philosophy.

In short the belief that the universe is finite is equivalent to the belief that the earth is flat... it is the exact same belief actually, except applied to the universe.

Perhaps the concepts of infinity and eternity scare you?

Well, you could never reach the "end" of the universe, because you cannot travel faster than light. If you were to teleport yourself to the "edge" to the universe, the light emanating from the closest star would travel to make the edge further away from you. Our universe is expanding towards infinite, but will never reach it, because it does not have infinite matter to spread.

And, no, infinite and eternity does not scare me. Death does.

The big bang to me is like watered down creationism slathered with a bit of science.

Why should death scare you though? There is no suffering after you die by your definition of 'being dead forever', but by mine you will suffer for all eternity living again and again, and experiencing the process of dying again and again. Not a very good prognosis is it? It is literally the equivalent of a living hell, and the buddhists at least have something to look forward to, believing they can eventually beat this cycle and achieve their Nirvana, I however hold no such beliefs. See by my definition of the universe being infinite and eternal that would mean there is an infinite amount of conscious beings out there all experiencing consciousness, and that's why lately I've been leading more to a cosmic source for this consciousness most commonly referred to as 'cosmic consciousness' although like i said it should really have a better name than that. I think that shall be what I work on next, making a better name for it.

multiple ways, but if you were truly interested in how the big bang theory might be wrong you wouldn't be yelling (assuming you're yelling you do have an exclamation point here), but anyways you wouldn't be yelling at me, instead you would be asking yourself this question and voluntarily looking up the counter-argument(s) instead of asking me. From this I can only discern that your real purpose for this question would  be to cause a meaningless debate that would waste precious time of both our lives.

Whats the difference between multiple unstated ways...and no ways at all?  Hint, nothing.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What's the difference between emotionally charged questions and rational thought? Hint: one is illogical.

The atheism band-wagon has gone mainstream and with it the hipsters have come along full swing for the ride, that and this thread is about getting over the fear of death and not the big bang, you would think that a moderator would have more sense to try and keep a thread on-topic.

Mostly though, and this is probably the most important I've been awake for sixteen hours and it is past my bedtime. Fatigue = no time to deal with emotionally charged responses.

That's the classiest variant of a "u mad bro" I've ever seen, lol.  You get the reps.
