Often times learning about such things is like putting together a jig saw puzzle without the box. You get part way done and you can sort of see the end the outcome but you may end up a while thinking its donkey when the puzzle is a horse.
To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.
I disagree that now is the right time. I would say that the right time was when evolution wound up being an accepted fact in science. I'm not sure exactly when that happened, but I'm sure it was before Darwin's death.

I don't think it was that far back but I would say the discovery of DNA in the 1950s is the absolute latest when there could be any reasonable question about it. That's probably being generous.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

@OP:
Yes. Any (part of a) religion which continues to deny evolution, in civilised areas at least, is going to fold in my opinion. The bigger problem is getting people to learn about it, and science in general. I see a lot of evidence of people being scared to learn in case what they find out bursts their bubble. I've never heard of anyone who understands evolution and then rejects it. What they reject is their own uninformed lunatic idea of what they assume evolution is. http://youtu.be/IBHEsEshhLs Feel free to send me a private message.
