A person could live by the Bible if he wanted to.  Of course he would be considered to be totally criminally insane if he did.  That's because the basic rule is to believe and obey without exception.  So, when it says to kill everyone or to stone your disobedient child that's exactly what's required.  And when it says to feed and shelter the needy that's also what's required.  Therefore it's possible to be completely cruel and yet merciful and kind within five minutes, depending on what's being responded to.  All of the stories show how people were rewarded and punished when they deviated from the basic rule.  Even Moses, one of the most fanatical    minions, got kicked in the teeth when he didn't follow the basic rule.

well,

for starters, that it's impossible is not an atheists problem.  It's a fucking Christer problem. They have several.  In fact, several times tens of thousands of problems. And a big tough shit to those Christers that get brain cramps from trying to follow a contradictory and confusing passel of crap from a supposed God who claims, among other things, to NOT be the author of confusion.  The idea is, as the difficulties mount, the fog might start to lift a little bit in those tiny cramping Christer brains and they might start entertaining the idea they have bit into a shit sandwich instead of the One True Faith.

I, for one, note the Bible itself announces that ALL scripture is suitable, and the fucking Believers damn well better fucking believe that verse absolutely, else I am going to rub their noses in their hubris in knowing better than God about what is and isn't applicable.

We don't give them quarter or spot them points in a debate since their Scriptures are contradictory and impossible to follow, we instead point out that terminal failing of their faith and declare rightful victory.

No, I'm saying when we are right in God's eye we are better able to see problems others suffer from and can help them. Of coarse it goes deeper than this, but it's a Christian thing you would reject.

yeah right. Until secular nations came to be the people that weren't right in god's eye (he must be a cyclops) were killed by the people who believed they were right.
just in case you want data.

True only a minority of Christians are vocal about their faith but they are enough to make a political difference in my life. That's too vocal for me.

Well, vorlon13, how many times has a totally straight man told you that you are almost a god?  You are almost a god.  Savory it.

You also make me wish I could add more to your reputation.  How can it be that someone who is so totally gay be so much in tune with someone who is so totally straight?  You seem like a really great guy.

To bad it's our right to speak on what we want and to vote the way we see fit, this is two things separation of church and state doesn't apply to. For your information I wasn't referring to physical eyes, I was referring to God watching over us and ect. I do not need your data and you should re-read what I said, in God's eye, not our own, gees you must love making up things for what I state, get real please.

GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Dogdamnit I clicked Play...
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

yes the data you are ignoring shows how the christians ,when in power, "help" others who are suffering from lack of their god. No i think i read your post perfectly right. Once you understand this (my data) you will see why I at least will make sure that separation of church and state stays in our system and your doctrine stays out of my life.
