When we talk about the "threats" you're making in the name of your deity, we're talking in hypotheticals, as in: "If I assume for a moment that your story about Shiva the Destructor is real (a Hindu god that is supposed to destroy the world at the end of time), then what you are telling me is obviously, in your mind, a threat that you are making to me right now."
You think your threats are real; we do not.
It's offensive that you think it's okay to make such threats, which in any other context (like threatening me vicariously through your brother) would be completely unacceptable, even if you didn't really have a brother but were just making it up as a proxy.
We don't "frown for a second" when you make these threats, we find you hilarious.

I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I wouldn't worship an all powerful God but if he or she could be proved to exist I'd be grateful to him or her any time they simply stayed out of worldly matters and didn't fuck things up more than they already are.
