There are different species living on this planet because the genetic disparity between those groups is too wide for successful reproduction between them. yes but why there are genetic variations is what is debatable , you just dont want to question your religion (October 29, 2015 at 12:24 pm)Rhondazvous Wrote:(October 29, 2015 at 11:26 am)jenny1972 Wrote: what would account for different species of living things then ? why monkeys and humans and plants and worms and birds under this theory why wouldnt every living thing existing on the same earth under the same conditions be exactly the same and have the same properties ?But every living thing on Earth does not live under the same conditions. The Earth offers many different conditions—cold, hot, dry, humid, high altitude, low altitude, crowded population, sparse population, different enimies, different foods, etc. so your argument, as is often the case with theist arguments, depends on a hypothetical situation. since organisms need nurishment to survive one organism could not be physically separated from another organism and survive for long right ?

Quote:yes but why there are genetic variations is what is debatable , you just dont want to question your religion Let me get this straight, everytime science answers one of your "why" questions..you'll just return with a new "why" question....and then after all of that, pretend that science hasn't been answering your "why" questions all along? If it hadn't..you wouldn't need to keep asking new questions. Would you like me to explain why there is genetic variation.......will it matter if I do? Isn't your beef, more accurately framed..not that science -can't- answer a why question, but that science -hasn't- answered every question you might dream up (even if it has answered many...for example every question you've asked thusfar)? What exactly are you arguing, again?

We understand it fully. *I* understand it fully, because I'm a degreed expert in evolutionary biology, and there are many who understand it much better than I do. We question it constantly. That's what science is. If this understanding is a religion, then Gravity is a religion, nuclear fission is a religion, relativity is a religion, germs are a religion...
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love. This business about humans being the only species on earth - and that being some evidence, as you see it, for evolution (or would be). How does "we are not the apex" and -this-..flow from the same persons mouth? nobody can prove anything either way there is no proof that there is an intelligent design although there are indications that there could be . and there also is no proof in the unlikely possibility that everything that exists is just the result of random accidental perfect coordination between very different organisms that all live on the same earth . other than the big bang leftover noise that the scientist religious leaders have assumed must be from the big bang event.
