Yeah, this one got boring too quickly.
Quote:The fact that there is no evidence is how its supposed to seem, THATS THE POINT.
"Look - there it isn't!"
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

What drives one to Atheism, or perhaps evolution. Is it that one rejects God, then finds comfort in something else, or do you look at evolution and determine it to be closer to the truth?
Or, are there athiests who also reject evolution, and just don't know what to make of life.

Currently that would be Porsche 911; borrowed from a friend. A 997 to be exact. Tooling around Orange County, sitting all pretty like. Owning those freeways like a boss baby. I got the leetle dog in the back and his head go up and down. Driving me straight to atheism! Or, Hell!
Also, "your"....really?
(Do you live in Orange County, JHC?)
Silly. Everyone knows he is heaven.

Just to be clear, we don't reject God. We reject the concept of God.
What drives people toward atheism? I'd say a good part of it is that the little questions we have in the back of our mind don't go ignored. Things like "How is the Flood of Noah possible?" and "Why does God seem to kill a lot of people in the bible?" and "Why does the bible use so many metaphors and allegory? Is it really metaphors and allegory, or am I just thinking it's that because science disproves it?"

Obviously he's not concerned with legitimate arguments against god. He's made it very clear he's only interested in shoving his own opinion down our throats and trying to get us to admit we're atheists because we " Hate God", no harm no foul! Don't worry, he's very interested in our individual reasons for turning to atheis--ehhem excuse me, I mean hating god.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?
Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

There is God and there is man, it's only a matter of who created whom

The more questions you ask, the more you realize that disagreement is inevitable, and communication of this disagreement, irrelevant.

I do not believe God cares, anymore than a parent would doom their child for hating them. As for evidence for God, there is good and bad in the world. It is a cause of our free will. You can't have good without bad. We all have choices, challenges, hopes and regrets. And none of it would work if we knew Dad was home. You don't have the kegger at home if mom and dad are around. The fact that there is no evidence is how its supposed to seem, THATS THE POINT.
What drives me to atheism? Science, logic, and rational thought. Simple as.
In response to your last point - the invisible and the nonexistent look very much alike, my friend.

Marko, you were an atheist too before your parents shoved the bullshit down your throat.
Not believing is the default position.
Do you understand that concept?
Being driven to atheism is what happens when you're not driven to church and brainwashed....
Sad but true...
No God, No fear.

What drove me to atheism? It was the unintended result of a decision to quit lying myself, and face facts.
