So your an Athiest

What drives one to Atheism, or perhaps evolution.[...]

You do realize, that atheism and evolution are 2 different things, right? And that 1,2 billion catholics, for example, accept evolution despite also believing in 3-headed Tooth Fairy? Sigh... Who am I kidding - you probably don't.

What drives one to evolution? Evidence of gradually transforming life-forms, spanning billions of years.

What drives one to atheism? Lack of evidence of the existence of any form of magic - including gods - combined with demonstrable utter nincompoopery of believers. If there was a god - why would it make its most devout and vocal followers semi-retarded? Why would it bless non-believers with enough intelligence to discover and harvest amazing forces of nature, using reason and not faith, in order to better humanity, while all the deeply religious people ever do is beg for miracles to fall down from heaven, which never happens?

Not that theres anything wrong with that. Whether evolution is factual or not does not interest me. I was raised Christian, have altered what I believe, and am looking for Athiests to be honest how they arrived at what they believe.

Why must there be a rejection of god?
For much of my life "god" just didn't come up and when it did I took one look and thought that it seemed very unlikely. I mean have you read the bible? talking snakes world wide floods and lots and lots of other silly stories.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

He either means a rejection of the position of god, which is perfectly fine and a correct description, or he means rejection as in hating god which is what he was babbling on about earlier.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?

Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

"God" is not a well defined term. Everyone has their own idea about what it's supposed to be. So I have to know what you mean by it before I can comment. This is the position called ignosticism.

More importantly, for all the definitions I have heard, I don't care whether they exist or not. Other than it being of scientific interest if they turn out to be something real, it won't impact my life in any significant way. I'm not looking for things to worship. Being nominally an atheist is just a reaction to the unfalsifiable nature of most God claims.

Mostly people that seek knowledge become atheists, there are of course other factors.

Look at it this way, it is a fact that every single person is born as an atheist.Would you believe in god if you were never exposed to religion and only found out about him later in life?

If you can give me a good reason why I should care if there is a "God", whatever that is, I'll be impressed. I can't think of any. I just have scientific curiosity should any evidence actually emerge.

That goes for any theist. Why should I care?

What drives me to atheism is a Chrysler Sebring convertible and a Dodge Ram 1500 Special Edition.

What rides me to atheism is a Honda CBR900RR and a Harley-Davidson 110 CVO Road King.

I'm currently in the process of looking for a house with more garage space.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I am not an atheist. I believe the twin goddesses. Can you disprove them?

What drove you to believe that the Smurfs don't exist?

Same thing.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)
