You probably know my line on soldiering, you probably know that I'm a rabid patriot, and I'm certain that my wife is the greatest human being that's ever lived.  I don't think it would be difficult to argue that my behavior and positions in just those three areas at least borders on religiosity, if it doesn't effectively stand in for religiosity.  They affect my decisions, and while I hold them to be absolutely true I cannot demonstrate that any of them -are- true.

I don't think you honestly are or believe those things. You just have biases and feelings and you can't reconcile them with reality.

I'm not getting too heated. It was simply a show of exasperation. I can't say fuck without you getting agitated?

You can get a lot further by talking about why we disagree. I get the impression you do because you got misinformed.

Misinformed how?

You should probably stop editing your own reply for anything other than spelling or grammatical mistakes. I used to do that to, but it's better to just write something new. Otherwise you're confusing me.

b-mine.

....sounds alot like religion to me.......... Wink

I honestly am those things..btw.  I make no argument as to any of them being true, but for me, they are - regardless.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I'm not sure yet. Maybe I'm wrong - I just made an observation.

One thing at a time. Let's get rid of religion first, than we can deal with the more trivial stuff you're going through.

Let's continue this convo later or at some other time. I'm taking a break.

It's been a great pleasure, honestly.

None of it is trivial -to me-.  I hold the dignity and goodness of a soldier as firmly as a catholic holds to the trinity...and presented with an example of a "bad soldier".....my gut reaction, is that they were obviously not true soldiers™.  Mercs, maybe, rebels, insurgents, pretenders.  Not soldiers.  Ditto to America and Americans. You asked for an example of my religiosity, these things fit that bill - even if they aren't traditional (or don't seem to be to you).

Arguments are arguments. They don't prove anything.

Try again.

WikipediaStudies on the demographics of atheism have concluded that self-identified atheists comprise anywhere from 2% to 11% of the world's population

The rest of your post does not make any sense.

Your best source is a wiki? A website that can be edited by anyone, at any time?  Not to mention that you don't exactly address the question. I'll ask again, Where are you getting that 90% of the world believes in god?

Sooo......

What else ya got? Dodgy

If you read that wikipedia page closely enough you find it points to references at the bottom of the page. Here are the links following the statement quoted by the OP.
