Because then you have to extend that option to everyone, where will put all of these dead people hooked up to machines and how will we pay for it? Also right now there is no suggestion that once the brain dies that we can bring it back again.

Well you can pay for your body to be preserved by way of cryonics nowadays.

A lot of them are seeking the republicunt nomination.

It's this kind of hateful speech that annoys me. Not that I'm saying you're not allowed to call them that, but you won't achieve anything by doing it. Instead of looking at it as if they're some sort of copies of yourself that went wrong and thus getting justifiably angry at them maybe you should focus on what's the root of the problem and work on solving that.

It's not as unlikely as you're making it seem. We're not talking about current technology, we're talking about bringing her back in the future. And there are a lot of indications that we'll be able to do a lot of cool stuff in said future, maybe including this.

Don't hold me to that, I'm just saying though.

Some people wouldn't call that hate speech. They would call it a compliment.

I didn't actually mean hate speech as in he's not allowed to say it, or something like that. I literally meant it's expressed anger, or angry thoughts, or hateful speech, you know. And it doesn't help anyone, it only drives people whom it's directed at and witness it further away from embracing reason.

Well they can pay for her body to be cryogenically frozen then and if we find a way to bring back the dead she will be in luck. You can not expect our hospitals to keep every dead person hooked up to machines and expect insurance companies to pay for it, in hopes that one day we can raise the dead.

Ok, that I agree with.

But he actually has a valid point. As long as there are idiots in office, who do the things repubes do, this country will sit and spin its wheels. And it's frustrating. And I agree with Min.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought he was talking about the voters. I made a mistake here.

If you're simply talking about some candidates, I don't think that's necessarily wrong. People can have their ideas criticized and not take it on a personal level if some politician is being attacked.

Ok, that I agree with.

However I'm not sure if cryonics works on brain dead patients, I am no medical expert.
