Morality versus afterlife

RE: Morality versus afterlife
Bit like receiving dispatches from the abyss, aint it?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Haha, yeah. Which is why I'm going to stop requesting them, as I've done here. I've decided there is a limit to what I actually want to know about the minds of some people.

Let it go, they're looking to win or prolong an argument, nothing more or less.

That is your misunderstanding about it.  Asking for forgiveness, whether it be with the individual or God, does not excuse the punishment you will receive.  Yes, I agree a lot of religions (or more precise the religious leaders) try to state that God has forgiven you for your sins.  But that is not true at all.

Everyone (including myself) will be punished and rewarded based on our actions, no one gets free pass

Nobody will be punished in the end.  Sorry to disappoint you.  Nor will anyone be rewarded.  When we all die, we are no more.  What we leave behind on this earth is of our own choosing.  People don't get their comeuppance.  This is not a fairy tale, where the bad guy loses everything and the hero goes home to riches.  This is the real world, where bad people get away with doing bad things.  The idea that Hitler will be punished for putting six million people through pure misery is a nice fantasy.  But that's all it really is.

Atheists do not hope to escape accountability.  On the contrary, we are more accountable to ourselves.  And we also directly realize that we are accountable to one another.

If someone cheats on their spouse, they've hurt their spouse, and therefore hurt their relationship with that person.  That's accountability right there.

If someone has sex with someone of the same gender, they've hurt absolutely nobody.  Why should they be held accountable for such an act?  Because some allegedly divine being said so?  Ha!  Now that's hilarious.  If someone has sex before getting married, they've hurt nobody.  Religious folks will argue that they've 'hurt themselves', but that's completely an Oscar Meyer Product.

IOW you're perfectly capable of deciding for yourself how to act, and why, huh.

Huh? sure you are capable of making decisions (good or bad) on your own.  But are your willing to accept the consequences for those decisions?  Seems not, it is so easy to be unaccountable and unforgiving!!!   And it makes even more attractive when don't believe anything beyond yourself.

Your statements is nothing more but to allow vulgar behavior without any shame.

That is what you are hoping for, but will get very rude awakening.  By believing that there is nothing after die you want to avoid accountability.

What do atheists do to repent on bad action (i.e. bad behavior) to others?  Nothing.  You want to be in some fairy tale without rules.

The person who had sex with an animal did not hurt anybody either Moron!!

The point is every action you take has a consequence you should be ready to accept it and don't whine like a baby when it happens.

Two people of the same sex sleeping with one another is not vulgar.  But ad hominem attacks are.  So you're sporting some very vulgar behavior here. I bet you don't feel bad about it either. In fact I'd wager you feel good about it. Just wait until Odin punishes you for it!

HAHA!! LOL!! I think you should worry about being punished for your behavior too.  I already stated earlier, no one gets a free pass, not even me.  The only difference I accepted that fact and you cant bear to accept it and you are going to whine like a baby when time comes.

The consequences of my actions have and will continue to catch up with me long before I'm dead nutball. Go peddle hellfire elsewhere, we've had enough of late.

No, see my sense of morality doesn't come from some guys who more than likely had sex with goats and were afraid of women. Your sense of morality does. I wonder what will happen when Odin judges you for being such a twit.
