Near death experience of Howard Storm

I get not worrying about whether people share your beliefs.

But if you don't care whether people consider your conclusions to be valid, based on your presented methodology, then that seems to me like you don't care about methodology. You're just interested in telling stories.

Sadly, primitive man didn't write anything down, so I can't knock you out of your high air-horse with reports from way back when.

Just to keep a tally of how many things you have to assume without any evidence (in order of appearance):
- Souls
- We have all chosen to come here
- A veil of ignorance is put over us
- purpose of soul growth
- God
- God is the creator and regulator.
- in the spiritual realm, we will gravitate to where we belong
- God is light and love
- you will simply not be able to go there
- Love will change your frequency
- hate will change it to a lower level
- outside the body, we enter back into the spiritual realm

To clarify all I've presented is information learned from reading near death experiences. I didn't provide links, but all the information can be found here if you have the time or desire to research further:  http://www.near-death.com/

The best information can be found under the conclusion section. This is information that has come from people that have claimed to have died, left their body, went into the spiritual realm, and learned before told they had to come back. Another key thing with may NDEs is there is a point where they are told that if they go past this point, they can't go back into their bodies. So all of this information is not complete to the point that this is information that is brought back from a point, rather than seeing what's past the point of no return. I don't claim to know everything, and I would think anyone that does is a complete fool.

I'll be posting more about the spiritual realms soon...

Have you ever noticed how worldwide the NDEs reported in that site aren't?
Have you noticed that those people never learned anything that they didn't know beforehand, by being imbued in the society that they are?

That's the thing about religion, and "god", in general. No one learns anything that they either didn't already know, or couldn't be easily deduced another way. It's all platitudes, placebo effect and confirmation bias. That accounts for pretty much everything.

If I had a direct line to god, I'd expect to actually learn at least one thing, at some point in my life. I've not seen any evidence of this ever happening. All the breakthroughs have been made by people doing actual science, and putting their religious beliefs (where applicable) to one side.

My brain tuned out at "vibrational levels". Coincidence?

I'm all for sharing experiences. But experiences are not conclusions, at least not ones that offer any credibility.

All I really need to know from someone is "do you have any evidence?" If the answer is no, it doesn't really matter what else they have to say. No amount of waffle and anecdotes constitutes evidence of anything.

But by all means enjoy sharing experiences. Don't let me stop you.

If someone could tell me why I should give any credence to someone not presenting any evidence, I'd be interested to hear it.

Humans are a species of biological beings that have evolved over time, and will continue to evolve. Humans were created through evolution to be vessels for souls to inhabit which allows us to take on a physical form to experience a world which allows us to evolve. We have all chosen to come here for a chance to experience the world and grow spiritually. A veil of ignorance is put over us so we forget where we came from, in order to get the most out of this life as possible. We are actually souls using homo-sapiens to interact with others in the physical world.

The purpose of soul growth is to grow towards God. The simple solution is LOVE. Love is all it takes to grow, and the reason we came here. Life on earth is the perfect opportunity to experience in love. We have male and female beings that can unite in love, and create children through love that guarantees the ability of more souls to inhabit human bodies in the form of procreation. The children allow the souls of the parents to nurture and love, and learn through various experiences, which can't be done in the spiritual realm from where we came from and will go back into after our experience on earth.

God is the creator and regulator. Something to keep in mind is that birds of a feather flock together. Another thing to understand is kinetic energy. We are all energy, and each of us vibrates at a different level. For example heat and light vibrates very quickly, while cold and darkness vibrates very slowly, and there is everything in between. Love vibrates fast, and hate vibrates slow. While on earth, all vibrations can coexist but in the spiritual realm, we will gravitate to where we belong based on our vibration frequency. Outside the body, you will go to where you fit in based on your vibration, almost like tuning into a radio station. You can't tune into 94.1, and listen to 88.7, for example.

God is light and love, and if you don't have the same frequency to exist in harmonious balance, you will simply not be able to go there. The key thing is that your vibrational level can change based on your thoughts. Love will change your frequency to a higher level, while hate will change it to a lower level. Once outside the body, we enter back into the spiritual realm.

I'll go into more detail about the various spiritual realms in another post. For now, I want to mention the main message of life is to love. It's the most important thing to do while we are alive, and can not only change you for the better, but also change others based on your actions towards them, which can spread and make a better world. Hate can do the same thing.

This all reminds me very much of a friend of mine who has her own religion (some might call it a cult. The difference between the two has always been a thin line). Only instead of basing her beliefs on Near Death Experience, she bases them on 'revelations' she gets while she's high. She by no means considers herself a Christian.

As an Atheist, I see little difference between her revelations (many of which contradict some of the NDE's, such as the whole Jesus bit) and the revelations of any of the NDE's. What makes them any more credible?

Now, people can share their experiences all they like. But I think it's important to take a critical look at these experiences. There's reasons for both groups to have had the experiences they did. No god (or Goddess as in the case of my friend) is necessary. If you look at experiences all over the world, you'll see they differ by region. Now if someone in a remote village who's never heard of Jesus has an NDE featuring Jesus, I'd be very interested in that.
