My anti-theistic perspective

My anti-theistic perspective
As one who has studied religion, I know that religion eventually becomes mythology.

After all, the Greeks and Romans were religious, but now they understand their culture in current time as mythology.

Even Irish culture is the same.

That is the way of religion. Man started with the belief that there were gods. Man evolved. Man then realized that what he believed was myth.

History of religion shows this, the evolution of absolute belief and the gradual shift toward acceptance of mythology.

There are still three major religions today not able to accept that they are relying upon myth.

It is their fault.

They are fucking dumb.

That is why I am an anti-theist.

Is that also why you wish more theists had been killed in South Carolina?

This whole "atheists are smarter" rhetoric bugs me. Especially when so many atheists were once "fucking dumb" themselves. But all of those religious people who are still religious deserve to be mocked? Nah. I don't see that as a good reason to be anti-theist.

All religions still believed today, will either morph and split and become unrecognizable from how they are believed today, or they will completely die out in the future to be replaced by new ones. But eventually all religions will die out no matter what when our species goes extinct.

"Atheist" merely meas "off" on god claims, it certainly does not denote level of education. I have run into atheists who stop at "that makes no sense" but don't do any reading of say Dawkins or Harris or Krauss.

Having said that yes religion does deserved to mocked. Just like if you had a friend claiming the Yankees won the Superbowl.

Exactly what is wrong with being anti theist? I am also an anti unicornist and anti flat earther. Dont confuse human rights with the separate issue of credibility of the claim itself. Humans have rights but claims as ideas don't deserve to be scrutiny or blasphemy free.

Heck no, when I say "a million theists at the bottom of the ocean = a good start" I'm totally joking.  Well, mostly.  Say 99.5%.  But oh, THUMP!   THAT AVATAR IS SERIOUSLY COOL!!!!

Religion may deserve mockery, but he was arguing against mocking religious people. There's a big difference.
