So Jesus already came back?

Don't anyone tell me what happened. I've got all of it on Sky Plus, but I haven't finished the first series yet.

I hope the ending is as good as "Lost".

Oop. I just discovered this.

Revelations 1:7 (emphasis mine)

So it looks like that passage in Revelations 22 doesn't provide an escape clause for the claim that Jesus would be coming "real soon now."

When I bring that up with fundamentalists, I get any number of justifications or interpretations. The most common I get is, "It refers to a metaphorical death."

When the English committee wrote the Bible they threw in all kinds of gems like that to show that the Bible was an elaborate joke.  Those little gems are easily overlooked because people in the past never really read and analyzed the stories.  It's a lot easier to do today with the internet and word searches.
