This is such a strange thing, but I've noticed over the years that liberals and atheists prefer Islam over Christianity. We have terms such as Islamaphobe for example. Where I live in Madison, the freedom for religion foundation doesn't ever go after Islam, but goes after Christianity. Doesn't really go after Judaism either for that matter. Why do the left and the atheists support Islam? Do they support the stoning of women who commit adultery, or throwing gay people off roofs? Do they prefer women have their clitorises cut off for female mutilation? Do they want to walk around in a halloween costumes or bee keeper suits known as burkas? What's up with the left/atheist love Islam? I can understand the left at least because they are all about privilege, but for atheists, that's another story I'd like hear about.

FFRF has convention, hosts speech condemning oppression in the Islamic world. FFRF gives award to woman under fatwa for insulting Islam, for her work against Islam. Oh, and they also helped her escape that oppressive regime. Oh, and it's also the second award they've given her, after her first in 2002. FFRF issues condemnation of attacks on atheist bloggers by Islamic fundies, and offers political directions for stopping further violence.

All of those and more were hosted on the FFRF's own website, and still are. They don't need to "start going against Islam," they've been doing so for at least fourteen fucking years, by my count. But hey, I can see how doing a search of their website would be too much work, before deciding what they're about.

In my case it's not so much that I like islam. It's that christianity is more of a threat in my country than islam. I hear stories about christians being so afraid of sharia, despite that there are many things christians and muslims agree on. I see this hate towards muslims, and feel the whole things is hypocritical, so I'm more likely to tell a christian to take a chill pill than I am to side with a christian against a muslim.

We like facts. We don't overlook lies and errors about Islam or Muslims just because they're directed against Islam and Muslims. We don't overlook lies and errors about Christianity or Christians either, it's just that it's not as popular a sport and doesn't come up nearly as much.

If you claimed that a terrorist act by the KKK or Christian Nation or the LRA or the current Christian 'ethnic cleansers' in the CAR is a reason to 'beef up patrols in Christian neighborhoods before they get radicalized', I would think you were a buffoon. When someone says the same thing about a religion whose membership in ISIS, Al Qaeda, and the Taliban combined is about 1 in 10,000; I'm going to think the same thing.

Where you live, it's not usually Muslims violating the American principle of government neutrality regarding religion. It's almost always Christians. Hence, what you observe. When the FFRF doesn't have anything to say about public officials opening meetings with a Muslim prayer and not allowing Christians the same privilege, get back to me.

All of that stuff you mentioned about stoning and throwing gay people off roofs and FGM is bad. Bad Muslims who do that! Shame on you! Noting that FGM is illegal in the vast majority of Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia and Somalia, doesn't mean I support FGM by Muslims. I assume that you overlooking that millions of Christians practice FGM doesn't mean you support FGM by Christians.
