These laws won't pass SCOTUS scrutiny.

Starting my own religion. My god requires that I burn down every goddamn church in a state that allows discrimination against gays or unwed mothers. Preventing me from doing so is hindering my sincerely held religious beliefs.

The thing about these anti-LGBT laws is that it's the last desperate stance of conservatives to preserve the right to discriminate. They chose gay marriage as a hill to die on, and when that battle was lost they just found a new hill.

I would hope that this would be the last one, but there's still laws preventing gay couples from adopting. I suspect that will be the next battle after all this bathroom law nonsense is settled as unconstitutional.

The same kind of shit happened after the Civil Rights Act passed. They'll get the same result - they'll be dragged kicking and screaming into modernity.
