Can't prove the supernatural God
RE: Can't prove the supernatural God

I have more problems with statements like the highlight text .... and the fact you can say it with a straight face ... and then try to support it by man made evidence? [2]

As a side point, if there was a god (which there isn't) your man made words would have no power to "to limit God's activity" .... [3]

Welcome to the forums madog! Question:

1) Who is proving that there is a god by using terms like natural and supernatural?

2) Where did I "try to support it by man made evidence"? Can you cite me?

3) I wholeheartedly AGREE with this statement! <= Read that again. Now, because our man-made words have no power to limit any hypothetical god's activity, then those man-made words should be used in a way that corresponds to that lack-of-limiting-power in as much as possible.

1) note the highlighted "all the rest" and "some" ... as I said I am not hung up on any particular term, but supernatural along with many other similar terms DO  crop up often when the religious try to prove their "God". Note I was replying to your statement that some (I didn't take it personal) people are hung up on supernatural.

2) No ... if you don't great, and my assumption was lazy, so I apologize Smile

3) much better Smile

I'm saying it's an extremely simple explanation which fits the facts very well and requires no additional assumptions.

And you have the nerve to think that what you don't understand today has to be supernatural?
Grow up . Stop living in the Middle Ages.

Yes, I believe what I wrote.

Incorrect attribution of a supernatural event does nothing to prove or disprove the possibility.

I have the nerve to believe that supernatural causes may effect events in our world. I never even suggested attributing a supernatural cause to something because I didn't otherwise know or understand the cause.

Since you are pretty new and I have no experience with your posts yet, I'm not quite sure if you want to engage on a topic or you are happy with your condescending drive-bys. Which is it?

Here are two quotes of yours.

"Christianity is having the question of purpose and place in the universe answered". Not too presumptuous of you
 is it?

"with atheism, at best, you are a happy accident with no purpose" . And you have the nerve to call me condescending.

Engaging with you on a topic would be like bashing my head against a brick wall. Not my idea of a good time.

I will participate in this forum in my own way, thank you very much.

Digs, one liners' and drive-bys have their place. They cut through bullshit by being short, concise and to the point.

Here's to meeting you on one of my next drive-bys.
Well conducted introspection dispels the dreams and delirium on wich gods feed.
Atheism is not therapy but restored mental health.
