Again I wouldn't do it over just a robbery. I would do it in a life/death situation. If giving the wallet over and they walk away I would never pull out my gun. Call me disturbing all ya want but you aren't really listening to me.

They walk up behind you, shoot you in the back of the head and take your gun. Are you trained to respond correctly in that situation?
Or do you think it's going to be an OK Corral scenario?

Have you ever been in a shootout? I'm asking because I've been there twice. Are you trained for situations like that? Otherwise you might be surprised what your body does and what your mind does or doesn't register.

1st off my situational awareness is usually spot on and people don't just walk up on me. 2 if they do, because I am in no way saying that it's not plausible, they will have to stick their hand into my pants, unhook it from it's holster, remove the velcro that holds it into it's glove, take it off safety, and cock it. It is visible not easily accessible. But if they already shot me that means they already have a gun so why do they want my little girlie hand gun? Do you mean if they take it -then- shoot me? Cause if they use my own gun to kill me then they were already planning on attacking me and killing me was already an option regardless of if I have a gun or not. I reckon I would prefer to be killed right off the bat rather than them possibly abusing me then killing me. You are all trying so hard to prove your points you are acting like I go around guns blazing, shooting first asking questions after. I'm not about to endanger someone by using my gun, I'm not going to try and pull my gun out if I have one pointed at me already, I am not going to do something rash. My gun is primarily for my safety if someone comes at me while I am alone. Yes if I know people are in immediate danger and I can safely shoot the culprit I am going to. If I am not sure I can do so then I'm not going to make the situation worse. If someone attacks me for my gun then so be it I will take that risk because more than likely I will have the ability to retaliate. I would rather carry my gun, feel safer, be able to protect myself, and use it if necessary than not have it, still get attacked, and be completely helpless. I am sorry you think I'm some wild child that is proving all your points right but I am not nor are any of the other people I know that carry.
And I have been held at gunpoint yes. Was it a shoot out? No. No rounds were fired and I did not bring my gun into it.

Let's talk some more when you actually have been in a shootout, shall we? Hope it never happens, but just owning a gun doesn't make you a soldier, a gun slinger or anything being able to deal with the situation. Situational awareness doesn't count shit when it's a life or death situation. But to know that takes experiencing it.

I'm not trying to prove that. You couldn't be doing that, you'd be incarcerated. Just mentioning that it's probably not a good idea to try and be the hero with a gun.

Alright I'm done here cause apparently being held at gun point in the middle of the night isn't enough to know how I would react to a situation. And apparently I have to have a detailed explanation for any scenario that might happen. Point blank I'm going to defend myself, I trust in my judgment, and I will save those around me if possible. I'm not sure what I couldn't be doing or what I would be incarcerated for but I won't go there seeing how I know I have never done anything wrong or illegal when it comes to my weapons nor would I get in trouble for defending myself.
