What you surrender to and follow to achieve what you value most.
1) did you make that definition up?
2) do you not own a dictionary?
3) if I say I have no religion then what do you say my religion is?

1.a. People been trying to define religion and have not been able to.
b. No I haven't made it up, it's a perspective gain from an accurate source.
2. As I stated before, "what is valued" at a level God should be valued to me, is a god people take. If you go by dictionary definition, you will see, that the system you follow (whether you make it up or not) in devotion what you value the most (ie. your god).
3. Whatever path you have taken in devotion to what you value most in life. What you value most doesn't need to be one thing, it can be in general what you value a lot more then other things. If there is a lot things close to what you value most, they are all "gods" from my perspective. How you believe you should live your life devoted to those things or people or system, or whatever it is, is your religion.

Sounds like religion means anything...and thus it means nothing.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I surrender to not fighting against reality.
I don't know what "follow to achieve" means but I currently don't aim to achieve anything.
What I value most is friendship.
So, what I surrender to and value most are two different things and I currently have no ambitions to achieve sooooo MK..... What does this mean?

Yes, I will tell you otherwise. I'm sharing my perspective. We always follow something. We always make a choice. What you are embracing to me is a darkness and uncleanness from a magical evil source that afflicts humanity, he and his forces.
It doesn't matter at the end, it's not until when we truthfully embrace God's sword to the extent we let it cut us, and we become it, do we truly submit. Till then there is a lot of deception and trickery going on.
At the end of it, you had Angels with you, and you were connected to the light of Guide of age at all times, and you chose to not embrace that and not to listen to any of it's call.
To me that is the religion. It's submission. It's what we embrace and are at peace with.
If you are at peace with the false unclean identity and you believe in the falsehood and are at peace with it, that is what you surrender yourself to. You embrace it, you took it as your way, your path, and you followed it.
The light and the true peace and tranquillity, on the other hand, if you hated, you hated.
It's a choice. We submit either to the truth or to falsehood.

I only surrender in certain situations...
I think I might need to refrain from putting my religion on any job applications

Whatever is number 1 and all close to it, in what you value/love, and how you go on about living towards it, is your religion.
Even if you hardly value what you value most, what you value most by definition is what you worship. We never value God as he ought to be valued, all we can do is make him number 1 such that everything pales in how much we value it.
Otherwise, we cannot truly value it at the level due to it.
