I become a book worm in the last 13 months and read something like 25 books. A few more than once lol)
I`m a huge fan of The Song of Ice and Fire series. I`ve read all 5 books twice in a year. I just love it. Currently reading the Wheel of Time series. I`m on the second book. 12 to go! I do recommend it. It`s a but different to ASOIAF, fewer dead characters and more fantasy-like, but it`s still very good. Sometimes the story is a bit slow, but very complex, so you need time to understand. RE: Novels: what have you read recently, how did it affect you and do you recommend it?

I recently finished Incubus by Ray Russell, which also became a film in 1981 with John Cassavetes. It's a really disturbing and atmospheric novel with a healthy dose of sleaze.

I never read books but I liked The Young Elites by Marie Lu. If I catch The Rose Society the second part of the series I'll read it. I recommend it if you like fantasy, demons, powers and all that. Imagining how the scenery and characters were was fun to do, it worked quite damn well with this book. I still remember them vividly.
I really want to get into reading books but I can't ;_; RE: Novels: what have you read recently, how did it affect you and do you recommend it?

The Night Circus is on sale on Audible today. It is the first audiobook I tried, and it is so worth it. It's one of the most beautiful books I've ever read or listened to. It wraps you up in a haze of caramel and smoke and delight and sadness. And Jim Dale is just...holy hell his reading of it makes you shiver with desire and loneliness and need.
I love fantasy books, but this is possibly the most magical I have ever encountered. Every page is a sensory experience. ![]() RE: Novels: what have you read recently, how did it affect you and do you recommend it?

Well, I'm on my fourth reading of "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace. For whatever reason it speaks to me and IMHO it is the greatest American novel of my generation if not of all time.
