I think that explaination is a bit too general for me.

What were the activities they engaged in that created division instead of unity?

Also, what was your role in process of building this church?

I worked with the youth and was a deacon. I'm not sure why division isn't a good explanation, the scriptures tell us that unity in the church is valuable and that division is worthless and then there's the matter of certain activities which should stay within a church and not spread across a public domain.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Well, given that you suggest that people were punished and died for interference, I find myself wondering what they could have done that would call for such extreme retribution. Especially when there are plenty of people out there who have committed extreme atrocities, yet remain alive and maybe even unpunished.

By making such claims, Godschild, it calls your God into question (in my mind); or your understanding of events that unfold and the correctness of  your assignment to your God of such extremist acts.

It also calls to mind the lack of responsibility of those governing activities, and their abilities to select appropriate people to accomplish their tasks, and their culpability in events that occurred.

So, I am just asking questions to make sense of your claims and what exactly could those who suffered have done that was so egregious?

I wonder why I haven't been wiped out for calling God a piece of shit every day of my life. But a guy intereferes in a church a bit and he gets executed.

It's an extortion ring, and not a very well organised one at that.

Right off the bat, the story is complete bullshit....but, if you're going to lie for christ, at least put your back into it.

I'm pretty sure that people get sick and die with regularity. Especially the demographic of churchgoers..all getting long in the tooth.  Similarly, cheating spouses are common among the faithful.   This is just your average day on earth. You, however, would like to spin a narrative for us in which a limp wristed god punishes people, in this way, over a pile of sticks?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

But this is different. It's a divine smiting kind of sickness that makes you ill, rather than the usual bog standard sickness that... doesn’t?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

GC, position if worthy of respect. To wish to become a martyr instead of consumer and "invite" others to do the same is epic and equally painful lifestyle.

But without the main motivator - hell or blackmail, its impossible for religion to exist. Religion seems beautiful and ugly at the same time.

GC, I guess, loves to be blackmailed by a God, and if necessary punished. Its for the ultimate good nonetheless.

Martyrdom is a consumer product as well. Bit of a cottage industry surrounding it, at present.

Yes there are those who have committed atrocities that we would consider worse, but then it's not up to us to decide who commits the worst atrocities against God's holy work, that belongs to Him. When people interfere in God's work to bring salvation to those He will lead to salvation that is an egregious act that God want let alone. Yes I could give you all the details of what they did but, you wouldn't think they were awful enough to warrant such punishment. I've been here to long and read to much  to believe otherwise. So you'll just have to accept what I've said as the truth or not and decide things for yourself. I've not given you a reason to believe me a liar and I hope you will take that into account.
