Another way of looking at depression
RE: Another way of looking at depression
I just had my telephone session to determine what kind of therapy might help me this time around. The woman was very nice, and I feel a bit better already just unburdening how far I have fallen. My depression is really bad and my anxiety is through the roof. But being strong enough to seek help gave me a little boost, and I flipped the bird to anxiety and managed to do a few things this morning. (Even if one of the was falling over outside and giving everyone a good laugh.)

She will be getting back to me about what kind of help I can get. I'm hoping to do it over the phone if possible, as traveling wears me out.

I did this through self referall, my GP gave me the number.

You offered once, and I'm doing the same. Feel free to talk to me whenever you want.

Can you Skype? Visually reading the other person I think would be beneficial.

Best wishes.

Brewer: I hadn't thought of that! I don't see why not. I'll put that idea to them, cheers!

Rob my inbox is likewise open, for you or anyone else. I'm glad to hear you are hooked up with a therapist. I hope you find it helpful. Recovery is a real thing.

Thank you very much, that's most kind Smile

I'll let you all know how I get on. One of my biggest problems at the moment is a cycle of guilt because I'm able to do so little. Instead of praising myself for what I achieve, I concentrate on what I don't manage to do. That tires me out, making me achieve even less, and so on. I have to break this.

Rob, PM is coming up, if you don't mind. There are things I don't want to discuss in public, but I'd really like to share experiences with you.
