The bragging and mutual support thread

Awww...so sorry to hear you are going through this McTurtle! But great that you are seeking help. I think it's easier to get a hold of the right tools for self-help once you figure out what you're actually dealing with, ya know? M best friend's son has high-functioning Aspergers. He is an AMAZING kid. Incredibly smart (like, years beyond peers his own age) sweet, and totally charming. Just like you! Please do keep us updated. Much love. [emoji8]

The last year and a half have been a complete drag with nothing but work and I completely burnt myself out. The other weekend I went paragliding for the first time in 5 years. First flight after a long time off is always terrifying. Tuesday I went scuba diving in a 5 metre swimming pool and I hadn't gone diving for 14 years. I just hope I can find another job in Edinburgh so I can continue living here for another year. I can't afford to move again for a while.

wow you are living so much adventure now!

I need a virtual hug. I don't know why. I guess because today marked two years since I last saw my kid. It's really painful to deal with.

I'll brag a little. Today a took a massive step towards fixing something really important that I've been putting off for a long time. I also took some important advice by opening up to a few trusted irl people. I don't feel hopeful really...my feelings are mostly..dread. But logically it appears that I am moving in the right direction.

Thanks Losty and Mama. I had a client tonight that kept my mind off things, but really, when she left, my daughter was the only thing on my mind. I miss her so much.

As long as you are moving in the right direction, there's hope. Heart

I used to eat beef or lamb four or five nights a week. Down to about once a week now, and yeah, "treat" is the right word. I even have the occasional vegetarian day ... Dad will forgive me.

I've eaten pork, beef or lamb for almost every meal for my entire life.
That's why I'm so strong. :-)
