The stupidity of sin
RE: The stupidity of sin
The only logical explanation of sin that works is from the Buddhist stance.

I find that most Buddhism is rather shady, but in this once instance it fulfills reality.

Sin lies only in harming others unnecessarily. All other sin is invented nonsense..

Yeah, but they still tend to make a points system out of it. It's rather sad to me people need an incentive. I mean, they don't. But religion makes people think they do.

Why Roberto?

Why a father should be blamed for what his ADULT children do?

You're talking about humans. Is God a human? The anology only holds if so. Human fathers do not precisely create their children knowing everything they will do for their whole lives.

According to yoga for God is all a cosmic game (lila in sanskrit).
The game is to let his ADULT children do what they like most in the good or the bad by giving them the
free will.
At the end however they all will learn the lesson forced by the karma law to sort out their problems.

Nothing is lost.
Everything will have to go back to the very source of everything.
Human fathers too will enjoy to see their children do the right thing or to sort out their problems. Lightbulb

Now come the question that God know in advance what his children will do while a human father does not.

Roberto have seen a film more than one time because you did like it so much?
Did you Rob?
You knew how it would end but you enjoy nevertheless, did you?
The cosmic lila I guess work in the same way.

You never thought about that Rob, did you?  Smile

So this is all a game for some god, who knows what we're going to do, watches us do it anyway, then denies all responsibility.

Is that about it?

You forgot to take one very important factor into account Roberto.

Nobody ever did die and nobody ever will.
The body is not you.
It is a shell so why should people care about a shell?
For an atheist that believe that with the physical death is all over then it is obvious that all human suffering
are a tremendous burden and life can be hell but they don't understand how the whole system works.
They don't know that at the end everything will be ok and suffering are just a way to sort out our problems.
This has really nothing to do with God responsibility.  Lightbulb

Yeah. Just as long as nothing is his fault, it's all good. It must be really exhausting finding excuses all the time for why he's such a useless sadistic twat.

If there is a God out there who is in charge of us all, then that being should be held responsible. If you see a child about to get fatally harmed, will you not do what is within your power to save that child? Or do you just coldly let them die (assuming that you were able to save them otherwise)?

Why should he help, if the child dies, it's just been sent off to meet the Yogi Bear on an advanced schedule. Kids fucking love that guy.
